While the rest of us are paying $7 a day to park at Nashville’s airport, a lucky few park for free. Politicians and other VIPs, as well as some members of the media, are among those holding the coveted parking passes. The media representatives are supposed to park for free only while covering news at the airport. No one in the Fourth Estate would abuse that privilege, would they? Here are some of the chosen ones:

♦ Metro Fire Chief Buck Dozier
♦ Metro Police Chief Emmett Turner
♦ Capitol Hill personality Drue Smith
♦ Community newspaper publisher Gary Cunningham
