Elderly Nashvillians have been warned about two men posing as police officers. In what Metro Police have dubbed the “bank examiner’s scam,” the perpetrators call potential victims claiming they suspect the money in their bank accounts is counterfeit, then request that a large sum be withdrawn so that the “officers” may check the money. Afterward, the con artists meet the victim to pick up the cash. Other ongoing local scams to look out for:

Dew Drop on YouOccurs in numerous restaurants. Servers claim that refills are in fact limited, then pocket the cash.
