Rabies and satire stew in stand-up guy Lewis Black’s brainpan until they spew out in volcanic bug-eyed, lip-flapping rants about everything from taxes to Texas. He’s best known for his “Back in Black” spots on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and his 2008 Comedy Central TV show Root of All Evil, where Black put steroids, ultimate fighting, Tila Tequila and other social banes on trail, acting as righteously apoplectic judge. Now the man who turned angry into funny has a raft of new material he’s airing in a tour dubbed “In God We Rust.” Be prepared for this self-described socialist’s smart-ass lefty takes on health care, fundamentalists, conservative wingnuts and whatever else would offend the mindset of the man most likely to be the righteously ranting Mad Hatter at the Tea Party rally. Very, very mad.
