Let’s Cut the Crap and Hook Up Later Tonight

Know that feeling when your buddy calls you the day after a show and starts speaking in tongues: “OMIGODTHOSEGUYSKILLEDBESTSHOWIVEEVERSEENBLABBITYBLABBITYBLAH!!!!” That’s how you’ll feel Monday, dumbass, if you skip this show and sit home watching Ice Road Truckers reruns like someone waiting for a nurse to spoon-feed him Jell-O. Last seen onstage at Sommet Center singing “Rosalita” with Springsteen—you think that guy knows something about live acts?—Dave Bielanko fronts a street-legal four-piece version of Philly’s premiere blue-collar rock-and-soul band (without brother Serge, a new daddy) in support of last year’s neck-swiveling Angels of Destruction. Maybe you’ll hear some of the new album they’re recording with Nashville producer-engineer Ray Kennedy. Maybe you’ll come back to Grimey’s the next day and buy their entire catalogue. 9 p.m.
