Legends of RCA Studio B: Conversations With All The King's Men

When: Tue., Aug. 9, 7:30 p.m. 2011
For the vast majority of the world’s musicians, a sideman gig with Elvis Presley would be the be-all and end-all of a career. For guitarist Harold Bradley, keyboardist David Briggs and bassist Norbert Putnam, all of whom went on to distinguished careers as producers, their stints with the King were just impressive notches on a post the size of a sequoia — Bradley alone holds the title of the most recorded guitar player of all time. But it’s Elvis whose mythic status has never dimmed, and tonight the three studio giants will join others who collaborated with Presley over the years in RCA’s legendary Studio B to swap songs and stories remembering the man. The $150 ticket includes a post-program dessert and cocktail reception with the hosts, and proceeds go toward the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s educational programs and archival preservation.
