Calling Mr. Lonely Hearts is a creepy novel--the kind that makes you wish you hadn't started reading it on a dark, windy night when the house creaks and moans. Alice, Roxanne and Del have been friends since they were children. This friendship often seems based more on power and cruelty than true affection. But their loyalty to each other once caused the ruin of a young priest, a man who wants revenge badly enough to make a deal with the devil, who is, in this case, a man known as Varick.
