While we’re still waiting for the Drivin’ N Cryin’ frontman and his crew of rowdy vagabonds to play a show at The Zombie Shop — it would be so punk rock! — we’re more than a little stoked to catch a low-key, intimate show from one of our favorite rockers on earth. Mostly because our hearing is still a little off after the DNC show at Exit/In this summer — dear God, that might have been the loudest show we’ve seen in years. So while we’re inclined to expect the exact opposite of that, we wouldn’t put it past Kinney to play the loudest acoustic show ever — and that’s exactly why we’re still huge fans of the man’s work. Speaking of work, DNC has a badass new EP called Songs About Cars, Space and The Ramones — our three favorite things! — that hits stores Sept. 18, and it’s rad as hell.
