Kaz Video Wicked Amazing Super Party feat. Deep Fried 5, Telecommunicators, Charles Butler and Associates & Hugh Mundy (Comedian)

When: Fri., March 4, 9 p.m. 2011
Price: $5
Equipped with nothing more than a video camera and an electric scooter, Kevin Kaz started hitting the Nashville clubs in January 2010, and in the ensuing year has captured over 400 unique performances on video — clips that you've probably seen on YouTube, Vimeo, band websites and even our music blog, Nashville Cream. And we're not talking handheld cell-phone crap — Kaz shoots great video, and has some mad editing skillz to boot. (Check out his work on his blog, The Electric Earmuff.) To celebrate his one-year anniversary (the show was originally scheduled for January but had to be rescheduled) and to thank the musicians he's filmed, Kaz is hosting this party featuring interstellar bluegrass voyagers Charles Butler & Associates, retro funketeers Deep Fried 5 and industrial/glam/new wavers Telecommunicators (fronted by Non-Commissioned Officers and De Novo Dahl keyboardist Matthew Hungate). And there's comedy too: The Jones Brothers Experience and former Nashville reprobate Hugh Mundy (recently relocated to Florida under the witness protection program, though I think I just blew his cover). But wait! There's more: appetizers, desserts, body painters and, according to Kaz, “even a limo to take you home because you’re definitely going to have too much to drink.”
