Nashville detective Taylor Jackson, the protagonist of Ellison's latest novel Judas Kiss, is having one hell of a week. She's trying to solve the murder of a young mother bludgeoned to death in her beautiful Jocelyn Hollow home. Things become more complicated when equipment for making sex tapes is found in the basement. Then Jackson finds herself an unwitting participant in a porn site. Oh yeah, she's also being stalked by an international serial killer. Of course, there's the local serial killer who also makes an appearance. Action flows thick and fast in this novel, sometimes so fast the reader might appreciate time to take a breath and think through the consequences of all the activity. Mystery novel purists may find the uncovering of the killer something of a 'cheat,' But Ellison's Nashville fans will likely be more than pleased by this latest installment of the Jackson series.
