Hey Dawg, it’s your buddies over at the Scene. We gotta favor to ask. We know it’s not supposed to be out until the fall, but you think you could hook a buddy up with a copy of Dad Country, the new record you cut with the dudes from Dawes? Pretty please? Pretty please with an airbrushed cherry on top? We’re fiendin’ for some new Corndawg tunes as the CD-R you gave us of Down on the Bikini Line — the one you gave us when there’s was still doubt about the album actually being released, back before Rolling Stone, CMT and all the East Coast hipster-types were into you — is pretty much worn out. OK, it’s totally worn-out, but we kind of like the glitch-hop remix of “Chevy Beretta” that has manifested itself on the album. But we would totally love to have some CornDawes tunes to wear out as we spin them on repeat for months on end. C’mon, help some buddies out.
