History buffs are about to have a field day. As a part of Lipscomb University’s annual Christian Scholars’ Conference, former counsel to President Richard Nixon and Watergate participant John Dean will speak on Saturday morning, offering his insight into the world of ethics. The Watergate scandal was one of the defining ethical moments of the 20th century — it ended a presidency and put two fellas named Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein on journalism’s Mount Rushmore. Dean served four months behind bars for his role in the legendary shenanigans by Tricky Dick & Co., and now works as a lecturer and author. It’s not often you get a chance to hear a firsthand account of a defining moment in American politics, so those curious should set their alarms.
