Joe Walsh

Price: $21.50-$81.50
If George Harrison was the quiet Beatle, Joe Walsh is the likeable Eagle. An ordinary, average guy, the rocker/former presidential candidate/de facto Maserati spokesman is the only member of the world’s all-time top-selling band who (prior to getting sober) could’ve conceivably been caught sparking a J with Jeff Lebowski. He’s also the only Eagle who allegedly traveled from city to city packing a chainsaw during the band’s 1970s road-doggin’ heydays — for the purpose of “modifying” his hotel rooms. And if that’s not enough, he also played guitar in the classic lineup of The James Gang. “Life’s been good to me so far,” Walsh famously proclaimed in his quirky, arguably George W. Bush-prophesizing 1978 hit “Life’s Been Good.” Seeing as how, 34 years later, the nasal-voiced 64-year-old singer is still taking to the road (chainsaw or no chainsaw), it’s safe to say he’s still in life’s good graces. Next month the saga continues: On June 5, Walsh releases Analog Man, his first solo LP in nearly two decades. Walsh wrote portions of the record with ace Nashville songsmith Tommy Lee James, and cut it with pop masterpiece-maker Jeff Lynne producing. Hear him play songs new and old tonight at Fontanel.
