Jerry Phillips and Jeremy Jones

When: Mondays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Continues through Aug. 1 2013
With Where Do All the Memories Go?, sculptor Jeremy Jones uses life-size figures in a variety of media to examine the constantly changing states of our physical and spiritual bodies. Jones uses himself as a model, so the understanding that all portraits are self-portraits becomes an explicit part of the artist’s work. Jerry Phillips’ Somehow, I Guess includes recent prints and drawings that address the complexities of cultural identity. Here, Phillips’ Pacific Islander heritage and American upbringing commingle and combine, leaving the artist struggling to find himself somewhere between that push and pull.
