Jeff Dunham at Somet Center

Puppet Master

Puppet Master
Now that you’ve had your fill of Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, how about a little Walter, Peanut, Bubba J, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Jose Jalapeno on a Stick, Melvin the Superhero Guy and Sweet Daddy Dee? Sure, their names may not lend themselves to quite as catchy a rhyme scheme. Their out-there antics, however, will certainly make you laugh a bit more than a bunch of super-powered gazelles who only bother to punch in once a year. But do you recall the most famous modern ventriloquist of all? Giving literal voice to the cast of varied characters is Jeff Dunham, Comedy Central darling, veteran of every talk show in existence and, as reported by Forbes, the highest-grossing comic working today. Frenetic and family-friendly, his show is the perfect antidote to the post-Christmas, pre-New Year’s, God-I-can’t-believe-I’m-related-to-these-people blues.
