Israeli Dance Workshop

Many people's knowledge of Israeli dance is probably limited to TV and movie scenes featuring weddings and bat mitzvahs, hava negila and uncomfortable celebrants being lifted on chairs. But traditional Israeli folk dance actually has a whole lot in common with that Southern staple--line dancing: it's easy to learn, better in a group and gets progressively more fun as the booze flows. This one-night class is being presented by the Nashville Isreali Folk Dancers and Vanderbilt University Hillel. Burn some calories, make some friends, and check everything you leaned from watching Wedding Crashers at the door. For information, visit vanderbilt.edu/israelidance.
