Restaurant Details

This Belmont Boulevard institution opened in 1975 as a lunch-only, cafeteria-style restaurant serving simple Thai-Oriental fare. It has long since expanded to include dinner hours and a variety of dishes, most of them reflecting the cuisine of owner Patti Myint’s native Thailand. In addition to the noodle, rice, meat and vegetable offerings prepared fresh daily, Myint is happy to make something special for regulars—which seems to be nearly everyone who comes in. The chicken noodle soup with garlic is highly recommended, especially during cold season. Even after all these years, the food is still astoundingly affordable. A cooler holds fresh salads, desserts are arrayed at the end of the line, and the market also carries Asian groceries.
