With this new touring production from Ericka Nicole Malone, author of You Can’t Keep a Good Woman Down, the actor-writer-director stakes a claim to the gospel-play circuit that made an industry of Tyler Perry. Bolstered by the presence of two marquee names — Robin Givens (A Rage in Harlem, Boomerang) and Leon (Cool Runnings, Cliffhanger) — her latest serves up a morality tale about a long-suffering salon owner and the two-timing husband who’s stepping out with her best friend while getting in dutch with the neighborhood gangster.
