Impaler at Springwater

Parental Advisory

Parental Advisory
With 25 years of general obscurity, St. Paul crossover thrash and hardcore punk troupe Impaler would have likely maintained an even more forgettable legacy had it not been for the Parent's Music Resource Center, the 1980s-formed family values committee championed by future second lady Tipper Gore. The group responsible for parental advisory stickers famously took issue with sexually suggestive tracks by Prince and Madonna, but also drawing the committee's ire was a little known shock-rock band called Impaler, targeted for promoting violent acts such as cannibalism and, you know, impaling. Local death metallers Ophiuchus open, further threatening the youth of today.
