Great. First the economy nosedives, taking our retirement accounts with it. Meanwhile, a civil war may break out over health care reform, with nutjobs ready to take up arms to defend the right of insurance companies to rob us blind. And now “Art That Keeps You Awake at Night?” As if I wasn’t tossing and turning all night as it is? Hell, if I’m doomed to the sleep of the damned, I might as well enjoy seeing what tormented demons lurk in the heads (and what creepy monsters hide under the beds) of artists Heather Lose, John Holland, Terrell Thornhill, James Worsham, Judith Jackson, Barry Noland, Peggy Bonnington, DJ Justice, Franne Lee, Robert Bruce Scott, Lisa Reed Preston, Tiffany Denton, Landry Butler and many more. Surely the artwork can’t be any more terrifying than the George A. Romero flick that’s been looping in my head nightly ever since Lehman Brothers went south and the birthers went bonkers. Or could it?
