Have Mercy

The Mercy Lounge courts not just Satanism but also hubris with their “666: One Hell of a Good Time”: While in previous years they marked their anniversary with a weekend of free music, they’re celebrating their sixth year of business with six nights of free band performances. The weekend’s shows will feature some of Nashville’s most popular bands: How I Became the Bomb, The Protomen, Shoot the Mountain, Eureka Gold, Kindercastle and Hotpipes perform on Friday night, with The Features, AutoVaughn, Pico vs. Island Trees and more on Saturday night. This lineup is subject to change, but even if it doesn’t, expect surprises: According to club management, special guests who are “prone to take the stage” include DJ Gumby and “the debut of Fog Elvis.”
