If you’re interested in volunteering in our community but don’t know where to start, local nonprofit Hands On Nashville makes it pretty easy for you this Saturday — the 21st annual Hands On Nashville Day. Known as Nashville’s biggest day of volunteerism, HON day offers 2,000 volunteer opportunities in 60 schools throughout the Nashville area, and they’re looking for a few good men — and women, and children — to help out. Projects include landscaping and painting. After the work is done, all participants are invited to attend the CMT One Country Celebration at Limelight, featuring lunch, door prizes and music. The event is HON’s largest fundraiser, and the suggested donation of $25 per participant funds HON’s work to connect volunteers year-round to better our community.
