Guilty Pleasures at Cannery Ballroom

The Pleasure Principle

The Pleasure Principle
Wanna go out for New Year's Eve but don't want to drop $40 on some band who, on any other night, might be lucky to pull in a tenner at the door? Wanna party like it's 1989? Do you like seeing Mike Grimes roll up his shirtsleeves and get to rockin'? Get thee to the Cannery Ballroom, where Nashville's favorite cover band will play their time-tested take on ’80s pop-rock with a few special guests in the mix for good measure. They're burning for you to attend, easy lover. They'll show you that heaven is a place on earth. Straight up, they'll be burning down the house, provided you have a little brass in pocket. Is it the end of the world as we know it? No. It's a damned covers band. But a tight-as-a-flea's-ass covers band, and if you're not shaking your tailfeathers by the end of the third or fourth song, you're not part of the human league. Either that, or you had a Ronald Reagan flashback.
