As presented originally, Avery Croziers play about an art museums search for a new head grant writer was distinguished by an audience-interactive conceit, whereby the shows eight actors arrive on stage, each vyingi.e. auditioningfor one of seven available roles, with the theatergoers doing the impromptu casting. That gimmick is eschewed in Groundworks Theatres new production, but this version will still attempt to skew gender and racial boundaries, not to mention offer the potential for unexpected humor. Otherwise, a tale about job-hunting, the interview process and the behind-the-scenes politics of a large, established arts organization should have its own sufficiently ironic agenda. This Nashville premiere is directed by A. Sean OConnell, and the cast includes Marc Mazzone, Lisa Marie Wright and Adele Akin.
