Grand Opening feat. PUJOL, Single Mothers & King Arthur

When: Sat., July 23, 5 p.m. 2011
Price: Free
Dry those tears, Boroites. Yes, your beloved Red Rose Cafe is now little more than a pile of rubble waiting for an opportunist of the most un-rock ’n’ roll variety to build a Walgreen’s or something in its place. But that just means you’re going to have to devote more support to the few remaining cool youth-oriented businesses Bucket City has left to offer. Neutral Skate Supply, opening this weekend on the Square, might not be the crucible for local rock that the Red Rose was, but it is something cool in the ’Boro, and isn’t that worth celebrating on its own? PUJOL, the best new band in Tennessee according to some Yankees (tell us something we didn’t know, Boston), heads up a free show celebrating the shop’s grand opening, along with ’Boro locals Single Mothers and King Arthur.
