George Shepp Reading and Signing at Davis-Kidd

Our Town

Our Town
Want the inside dope on everything from Nashville’s cave-dwelling founding father to our city’s long and sordid history with the skin trade? Look no further than Hidden History of Nashville, a collection of columns by longtime Tennessean contributor George Zepp. Inspired by questions from its many readers, Zepp’s “Learning Nashville” column, which ran from 2002 to 2007, specialized in dispelling rumors and unearthing Music City’s more unusual factoids. Anthologized here is the story of Cortelia Clark, the blind blues player who continued to work street corners after winning a Grammy award, as well as Nashville-related tales involving the likes of Tennessee Williams, Teddy Roosevelt and Jesse James. George Zepp will discuss and sign Hidden History of Nashville.
