As it finally, gradually begins to feel like spring, the folks at Cheekwood are also warming up a bit, opening their doors for free all day on April 29. Current exhibits at the historic site include the sculpture of Michael Baggarly in Reverberant Measures, a study of the omnipresence of video imagery in Lens with a Conscience, works by several Tennessean abstract painters, William Christenberry's Passing Time and more. And as part of Wildflower Wednesdays--a monthlong celebration in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Howe Wildflower Garden--Cheekwood will be hosting guided tours of the garden complete with a history lesson on how Cora Howe cultivated her acclaimed garden.
