Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

In a technical feat to rival Forrest Gump chatting with JFK, or Zelig chillin’ with Hitler, the Nashville Symphony Orchestra provides Judy Garland, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, a whole bunch of Munchkins, and the citizens of Emerald City with live musical accompaniment for this screening of the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz. As we understand it, the music tracks have been scrubbed from the film—leaving conductor Albert-George Schram and the NSO to fill in the backing for the vocal tracks. Check it out, especially if you’re in need of a brain, a heart, or “da noive.”
