Film Nashville Town Meeting and Nashy Award at The Belcourt

When you think of the movie industry, Nashville might not be one of the major filmmaking hubs that comes to mind. But fact is, Nashville’s small but passionate film community is one of our greatest cultural assets, and right at the center of that community is Film Nashville. Tonight’s “State of the Industry” event, hosted by Film Nashville, will feature updates, a Q&A and open discussions about Nashville’s film industry contributions with local filmmakers and experts—including our very own staggeringly well-versed film buff and fearless leader, Jim Ridley. The event will also feature the presentation of the Nashy Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Growth of the Nashville Filmmaking Community. This year’s recipient is Trew Audio CEO and founder Glen Trew, who has provided audio engineering and location sound mixing for film and television for over 30 years.
