Bartender/entertainment booker/musician Jamie Rubin and chef Julia Helton own this cozy East Nashville spot, and their interpretation of a neighborhood pub continues to succeed on every level. Heeding the traditions of pub food, the seasonal menu is simple, but in no way skimps on quality, flavor or creativity. Less is more here, and there is truly something for everyone. Salads include the popular baked goat cheese with prosciutto. Hungry diners will want to try the hefty shepherd’s pie, available in a meat and a vegetarian version, or the roasted chicken with roasted garlic gravy and mashed potatoes. Live music is featured nightly. Excellent desserts, made on premises, change daily.

Very friendly service and great music all the time. Wonderful, intimate-yet-funky atmosphere. Eclectic crowd - definitely a favorite!

Good show! There were some talented musicians playing at the Family Wash tonight; not so much singers, but very talented musicians. Double praises for the drummer who held his own through each diverse set. It’s definitely worth spending a Wednesday night at the Family Wash.
