Fall Senior Thesis Exhibitions at Watkins

This new series of exhibits at Watkins will spotlight the work of several students, immersing gallery goers in the shows, artist talks and live performances of these up-and-coming movers and shakers in Nashville's art scene. The series' inaugural exhibit features work by Jennifer Knowles McQuistion, Stephanie Brooke West and Jonathan Abarquez. Photographers McQuiston and West both use video, live performance and other media to explore the landscapes of the feminine collective memory and the female body. Abarquez' digital collages pull images from a spectrum of cultural expressions including cybernetics, aesthetic surgery and The Mystery of the Trinity. You'll want to arrive promptly and stay for the whole event as the live performances and artist talks will be happening throughout the two-hour exhibition.
Mondays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 7. Continues through Nov. 16, 2008
