On the Look: "The fall is the season when I most want to be outside hiking, raking leaves, building a fire, gathering wood, or just being in an open stadium watching football. So I want to wear items that fit on the street but also have functionality that works out in the elements.

"That translates into thick, heavy, durable materials like tweed, denim and leather that are made to be roughed up. I pulled from Billy Reid, Imogene + Willie, Otis James, Emil Erwin and Peter Nappi — these makers and the selected items have classic sensibility but with an influence of workwear. I look for a quality and versatility in fall clothing that can be both sophisticated and rugged."

Sunday coat and Westin shirt, Billy Reid; Willie Rigid Jeans, Imogene + Willie; handcrafted necktie, Otis James; Conway belt and waxed canvas briefcase, Emil Erwin; Julius boots and Shintaro Diago watch, Peter Nappi.
