Escape From Craggy Knoll at The 5 Spot

Born of Dust, Pants Not Included

Born of Dust, Pants Not Included
Murfreesboro's busiest mofo, 24/7, is at it once again with yet another new project. Not content to just sit around and twiddle his thumbs during down time between shows with The Billy Goats, cuttin' solo records and crankin out beats for half of the city's hip-hop underground, 7 has gone and got himself a punk rock band. As we say in the industry: “Fuckin' sweet, dude.” Escape from Craggy Knoll finds our boy occupying drone throne in a band that sounds like they escaped from the collection of cassette-only punk and indie classics sitting in our moms' basement. Equal parts East Bay bounce and classic Southern indie skronk, Craggy Knoll are unhinged and hook-heavy, recalling an era when “indie” was a badge of honor and not a synonym for “soft rock.”
