Elves' Faire at Linden Waldorf School

Middle Earthlings

Middle Earthlings
If you dig the idea of the Renaissance Fair, but could do without all the terrifying cleavage, beer breath and D&D dorks, consider the Elves’ Faire. Think of it as a kind of modest and manageable alternative that's a quarter the drive time and the crowd—not to mention the cost. Featuring candle- and wand-making (from natural materials), puppet shows, storytelling and a visit from one very intriguing-sounding Pockets the Elf, it's an honest-to-goodness family affair—and unlike, say, Hooters, they actually seem to mean that. Given that the school encourages oral traditions, seasonal observances and intellectual rigor alongside hands-on artistry, chances are good you and your youngster could actually learn something. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children.
