The center also includes the CyberSphere Digital Theatre, Visual Arts Gallery, Gaslight Dinner Theatre, Faraday Science Theatre, Renaissance Players community theater, a fully digital television production studio, digital recording studio, the Virtually Unlimited Bookstore and Faraday Cafe.

Six full-time centers provide many programs linking senior volunteers with at-risk schoolchildren. Friends Learning in Pairs (FLIP) puts seniors and schoolchildren in grades K-4 together for tutoring, mentoring and encouragement. In the Foster Grandparents program, seniors aged 60 and older provide children with affection, supervised play time and support. The Living at Home program provides services for frail, homebound seniors such as Meals on Wheels.

Magnet Schools
The Metro school system includes 16 magnet schools. Students are chosen by lottery for places in entry-level grades. If your child is already above the entry-level grade of the school, he or she can be placed on a waiting list. While applications are accepted year-round for the waiting list, the 2005 deadline for the entry-level lottery is Dec. 9.
