For those readers who might not be hip to the haps at East Side Storytellin’, here’s the skinny: It’s a monthly literature and music event that pairs author readings and tuneful performances, and includes discussions and interviews exploring the creative process. The whole shebang is brought to you by Chuck Beard’s East Side Story — the Woodland Street bookstore that carries tomes by Nashville authors exclusively. Beard holds this shindig up the street from East Side Story at Rumours East, and the show is recorded for later broadcast on WAMB-1200 AM/99.3 FM. This month, author Kevin Wilson will read from his New York Times bestselling book The Family Fang, followed by a musical performance by Amanda Shires.
