The final weekend of the Shades of Black Theatre Festival features a little something for everybody. The major dramatic presentation is a collaborative piece from Michael L. Walker's Dream 7 Theatre Productions, which offers a night of original hip-hop, spoken word presentations, monologues and sketches. Also on the bill is Sheerene Whitfield's one-woman show, I Wanted the BLACK Doll! Starting time is 7:30 p.m. Additional weekend activities include a Sept. 24 daytime acting workshop for children (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) conducted by Kenny B. Dozier, plus late-night stand-up comedy (11 p.m.) with Renard Hirsch & Brian ("B Cov") Covington. For more information about fest particulars, class registration, etc., write email@example.com.
