Sippin' and Pickin'

Sippin' and Pickin'

Howl at the moon with a glass of cold Full Moon Ale, created by Yazoo Brewing Company, the brewery owned by Lila and Linus Hall in North Nashville's Marathon Village. The handcrafted, classic, light-bodied American cream ale, made from a pre-Prohibition recipe, is being brewed specifically for the Full Moon Pickin' Parties, a Nashville summer tradition presented by and benefiting Friends of Warner Parks. All three bluegrass hoedowns—June 4, July 30 and Aug. 27—take place in the Warner Parks Equestrian Center. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, children 6 and under free; beverages are included in the price, and food is available for purchase. For reservations, call 370-8053.

Claws for Celebration

The Palm (140 5th Ave. S.) is currently encoring its wildly popular summer lobster promotion through July 31. The Complete Lobster Dinner for Two includes a jumbo lobster (flown in fresh daily from Nova Scotia), two mixed green or Caesar salads, and two side dishes, priced at $70 for a 4-pound crustacean, $80 for a 5-pounder and $90 for a 6-pounder.
