’Tis the season to say ’tis the season, and it’s also the season for Christmas concerts and releases. Proving that Jewish rock stars and be-sweatered crooners aren’t the only ones who can spread sonic yuletide cheer, self-proclaimed “Nashville web designer, musician and creative dude” (and fashion designer) David Dewese is throwing his Santa hat into the ring of seasonal jubilation for the third year in a row with a Christmas album and concert. The show will also feature sets from gentle giants The Nobility—Nashville’s pre-eminent Beatles and Elvis Costello obsessives—and The Medders. With stripped-down indie-pop arrangements of wintry classics, Dewese takes the anti-Spector approach to producing a Christmas album.
