Dave Attell at Zanies

Insomniac

Insomniac
Dave Attell knows the sting of Prince's Hot Chicken--he dined there in a 2002 episode of his defunct TV show Insomniac--and the sugar that comes with being a fixture in the stand-up renaissance orchestrated by Comedy Central. Entertainment Weekly named the Queens-born comic one of the "25 Funniest People in America," but don't hold that against him. Attell's wiry axis of sex, booze and smokes spins on a frayed psyche that's anything but mainstream--unless you also think of the Indonesian tsunami of 2004 as "God's money shot" and agree that all kids need to have fun is "a book of matches, oily rags and a little brother."
