In their mixtape track “Hahahaha jk?” Das Racist don’t give listeners the satisfaction of hearing them definitively say they’re either joking or they’re not. And the three guys in the buzzed-about, multiracial Brooklyn hip-hop outfit — MCs Heems and Kool AD, and hypeman Dapwell — haven’t been much more straightforward in interviews when it comes to talking about their intentions. But it hardly matters how serious they are or aren’t, because they also happen to be talented, funny and insanely sharp, and they bring fresh insider-outsider points-of-view to the table.
