Daley Dose

Long-time bluegrassers may remember Cornerstone, the early-’90s upstate New York band that introduced hot songwriter (and now bandleader) Chris Stuart. Turns out he wasn’t the only talent there, though it’s taken fellow alumnus (and now Franklin resident) Pam Daley a bit longer to make her mark. Produced by the multitalented Keith Little, Daley’s solo debut Someone Like You was three years in the making—and well worth the wait. Original songs by Daley and colleague Robert Gateley are at the fore, and they’re meaningful, memorable and delivered well by an all-star cast, many of whose members—including Gateley, underappreciated singer Patty Mitchell, busy banjo boy Ned Luberecki, guitar phenom David Grier and IBMA Dobro Player of the Year Rob Ickes—will be taking the stage to celebrate the disc’s appearance.
