Crush of the Week

Zeitgeist Gallery showcases a revolving lineup of local and regional artists, but it has at least one permanent installation that always turns heads. A fixture in Hillsboro Village, local arts and numerous worthy causes, Zeitgeist co-owner Janice Zeitlin is one of those calmly capable people in the background of every scene who are typically taken for granted. Maybe so, but she’s still hot in about 14 different ways, starting with a smile and generous laugh that makes the dullest conversationalist feel like Oscar Wilde. She reminds us of the friend’s mom who fueled our crushes all through high school. Surrounded by wine and soft lighting-and probably her husband, dammit-she’ll be in the gallery Saturday for the opening of artist Richard Feaster’s show. He did the painting in the background of our photo. You noticed it, right?
