The success of this eccentric Sheila Callaghan piece will rise and fall with the achievement of Actors Bridge Ensemble’s Sideshow actors and creators. The play would seem to have the appealing weirdness of something written by, say, David Lindsay-Abaire (Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Rabbit Hole). Inside an apartment — which has a murderous “mind” of its own — Janice and her mother cope with recent death and panic attacks. Janice converses with her dolls and Mom bakes. Meanwhile, there are visitations from Justin Timberlake and Harrison Ford. As usual, the Sideshow crew will be doing their “cross-training” — designers direct, actors design and directors write press releases. JP Schuffman stages the proceedings, which feature Sara Gaddis, Hayley Rose Maurer, Erin Randolph, Ricardo Puerta and Matt Marcum (doing Timberlake/Ford). Extracurricular events include celebrity impersonation contests, dance-offs and general mayhem. And you get a break on the ticket price if you come in costume.
