Classical music fan jonesing for the concert season? Downtown worker needing a mind-clearing lunch-hour treat? Solo cello in the main library's peaceful inner courtyard might be just what you're looking for. Grammy-winning cellist Sara Sant’Ambrogio is probably best known for her work with the Eroica Trio, but she is also an established soloist. Since her Carnegie Hall debut recital in 1986, she has performed with major orchestras from the Chicago Symphony to the Moscow State Philharmonic. She collaborated with the New York City Ballet in a well-received Lincoln Center series pairing the Bach cello suites with choreographed interpretations. The library's free Tuesday concert series continues into October with a musically varied slate, in which this concert may be the most intimate offering. Admission is free.
