Color is Relative at Rymer Gallery

Coming off their recent popular run with Kevin Kelly's solo exhibit, this month's First Saturday Art Crawl finds Rymer Gallery hosting a group show of gallery stalwarts, local veterans and new faces. In addition to new sculpture by Gallery curator/artist-in-residence, Herb Williams, Color is Relative will also feature work by James Pearson, L.A. Bachman, Barbara Coon and Jordan Eagles. Newcomer Gabriel Mark's narrative portraits depict everything from drunken socialites and rodeo broncs to European street people and fairy-book pirates. Local fave Emily Leonard will also be showing her atmospheric landscapes. If her recent show in Portland, Maine, offers any clues, expect to see smaller oil paintings than usual from Leonard. Maybe she'll bring along some of her recent watercolor, pen and pencil works as well.
Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Nov. 1. Continues through Nov. 29, 2008
