College Survival Guide
It seems like only yesterday that I was a college student. Oh wait, it was. I moved to Nashville four years ago to start college. Since then, I have seen a little bit of everything in Nashville: political protests, drag shows, famous musicians, honky-tonk bars, line dancing and even Mule Day (only in Tennessee).
Although I've had a great time exploring Nashville these past four years, I wish someone had shown me around town much sooner. Alas, if only I had had some sort of manual to college life in and around Nashville. A survival guide, if you will. That would have been great.
With the help of some talented writers, the Nashville Scene has assembled such a guide for you. Hopefully, it will give you an inside look at what college kids do for fun in Nashville. In the following pages, you'll find articles on everything from art galleries and rock climbing to used bookstores and Murfreesboro rappers. I hope this is as useful to you as a beer funnel is to a drunken frat boy.
