Is there a better gig out there than being paid to just show up and look cool? We don't know for sure—we show up, but we don't look cool and we're definitely not getting paid—but you can ask Justin Kase, who recently returned from a month of doing just that for up-and-coming, Brentwood-raised, L.A.-based pop star Ke$ha. Technically, he's been her “DJ” during the European jaunt, but we've seen the video from MTV's It's On With Alexa Chung, and there's more synchronized dance moves than actual wikki-wikki on the ones and twos goin' on in the DJ booth. Not that we're complaining. Anytime one of our favorite local artists can actually get paid, we're ecstatic. Just ’cuz we're rolling on the floor laughing every time he pops up from behind the booth doesn't mean we're not stoked for him.
