Christmas Day is to movie-going what Black Friday is to shopping: a chance to wedge in elbow-to-elbow alongside your fellow man for a crack at the season's hottest offerings. You'll still have to wait until mid-January for wish-list items such as Clint Eastwood's grumpy-old-man drama Gran Torino and the sick-soul-of-suburbia saga Revolutionary Road, but there's plenty opening today to occupy your eyes, including Bedtime Stories, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, The Reader, The Spirit and The Wrestler. And you can always catch up with smashes such as Milk, Slumdog Millionaire and the potent Yuletide combo of A Christmas Tale and Let the Right One In at The Belcourt, still packing 'em in after a month.
