Christie Hauck parlayed a passion for chocolate chip cookies into the immensely successful Christie Cookie company. After a vacation in Italy, he developed a fondness for gelato, the Italian form of ice cream that has been made there for centuries. He educated himself in the gelato-making process and added 18 flavors of gelato and sorbet to the cookie menu in his Green Hills location. Everything is made fresh, and the available flavors du jour can include everything from pistachio to hazelnut to dulce de leche to grapefruit-Campari.
