Chicken-Fried Country

If you've ever gotten really drunk, stumbled home and found yourself noshing hardcore on whatever happened to be sitting in your fridge, only to realize after a few minutes of inebriated wolfing that you had—woops—devoured an entire chicken, then Those Darlins have a song for you. (It's called “The Whole Damn Thing,” and it's a keeper.) But even if you haven't, the Darlins' nontraditional rave-up of traditional country-music has enough strummin', pickin' and good-time shimmy to get your boots scootin' or your sneaks squeakin'. It's the kind of music you could imagine dancing to while a bottle of shine gets passed around a fire—and if there's a chicken or two roasting on a spit, well, they'll come in handy later on. O’Death and comedian Chris Crofton will also perform.
